Hello and welcome to my website. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional who is here to help you reach your therapy goals or support you on your current journey. I believe everyone possesses the strengths to achieve their goals and I would be honoured to help you with that. Using various therapeutic modalities and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a focus on mind-body connection and mindfulness, I can help you achieve your therapy goals. I currently provide online therapy and phone sessions. The cost for a 50 minute individual session is $120. Let me share a bit about myself. I have been working in social services for the past 5 years. I previously worked in the private sector and was feeling very unfulfilled. While on maternity leave with my third child, I decided it was time for a change. After struggling with my own mental health issues in the postpartum period I decided I wanted to help others who struggle with mental health issues. I returned to school where I obtained my Social Service Worker diploma and at the same time I earned my certificate in Addictions Studies from McMaster University. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have also completed training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International. Since graduating over 5 years ago, I have worked in Mental Health and Addictions counselling. I have also worked on my own personal development, focusing on mindfulness and meditation. I love running, playing team sports and reading as my go-to self-care activities.
I believe that all of my professional and counselling experience combined with my personal journey with my own mental health have shaped me into the non-judgemental and compassionate counsellor that I am today.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING SESSION
I truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Therapy can be so beneficial at different times in our lives. We don’t have to be experiencing a crisis to find comfort or value in counselling. I work with clients who are trying to build their self-esteem or manage mental health symptoms such as depression and anxiety. I support clients through their own grieving process. I also support people struggling with addictions issues. Providing support to loved ones supporting those with addictions or mental health issues is also a passion of mine.
