WELCOME

I am so glad you’ve found my site and I want you to know that you are not alone, and help is available. I provide counselling to people on their current journey with Perinatal Mood or anxiety disorders (PMAD’s) or birth trauma. I also support those with fertility challenges and those grieving the loss or release of a pregnancy. Guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, and extreme exhaustion can be overwhelming and some of these experiences can be traumatic. I can help you come back to your Self to cope and heal those trauma wounds.

I’m here because (take note of any that apply to you):

  • I recently had a baby and I just feel off, I’m worried all the time, or I feel really sad most of the time

  • I’ve been having trouble trying to get pregnant

  • I’m pregnant and struggling emotionally

  • My partner is pregnant or had a baby and I’m having a difficult time connecting to baby or my partner and/or I’m struggling emotionally

  • I want to parent from the Self, with my values and goals at the forefront, not from my anxious part (or any other part that might be crowding out the Self)

  • I’ve recently lost a pregnancy or baby or released a pregnancy

  • I had a traumatic delivery or witnessed my partner having a traumatic delivery

  • I’m going back to work after maternity or paternity leave and I’m super anxious about the transition

If any of the above sound familiar to you, you’ve come to the right place. Take a deep breath and just know that you are not alone, I am here to help. Contact me to schedule your free 15-minute consultation, to help decide if I’m the right counsellor for you. And if not, I’ll help you find someone who is!

I currently provide online counselling and phone sessions to clients living in Ontario. The cost for a 50-minute individual session is $140. For more information about my services and what I can support you with, please browse through my website and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

MISSION

My mission as a trained Perinatal Mental Health Professional and a parent is to provide a safe space for you to connect to yourself and all the parts on this parenting journey. As a mom and a counsellor, I bring compassion, authenticity, and empathy to my sessions to help you navigate the many ups and downs of your parenting journey, from fertility challenges, pregnancy, birth and reproductive trauma as well as pregnancy loss and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. Psycho-education, skill work and processing through sharing your story all contribute to this process.

VISION

My vision is for all perinatal clients to gain the strength, self-compassion and confidence that comes with connecting to the Self to work towards healing trauma wounds and coping with their symptoms in a safe space. By focusing on educating the public, my vision includes a stigma-free experience for those seeking help for a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.

VALUES

Compassion

I believe wholeheartedly in the power of compassion and it's place in the healing journey. By showing compassion to others, they in turn can learn to show compassion to themselves and use it to care for themselves through life's challenges.

Authenticity

I strive to be my authentic self with clients so that clients can feel like they can be themselves with me. I feel authenticity really helps in developing a strong therapeutic relationship.

Humour

I believe that humour can be so helpful in healing and bringing people together, especially in therapy.
